Spherix Mobile & PC Control Guide
Control Scheme
- Arrow keys or WASD — roll the golden ball around each maze
- SPACE — hop over enemies blocking your path
- I — pull up the instructions if you forget what's what
- Steer gently near ledges, since overshooting a turn sends you rolling into open air
- Watch for red enemies patrolling tight corridors and time your jumps around them
Spherix sticks to a formula that's been around forever, guiding a ball through a maze, but it stretches that idea across 25 themed worlds and doesn't let the pacing sag. Early levels are basically warm-ups, gentle turns, a few coins scattered around, nothing that'll raise your pulse. Then somewhere around world eight or nine the game starts throwing tighter corridors and more red enemies at you, and suddenly that lazy scrolling turns into actual concentration. The physics on the ball feel a touch floaty, which sounds like a complaint but honestly works in the game's favor since it gives you a split second to correct a bad turn before you tumble off the path. Coins add a scoring layer for anyone who wants to replay old worlds and chase a bigger number, though the real hook is just reaching that green exit tile before your lives run dry.
Winning Strategies
Don't chase every coin the first time through a level, especially in the later worlds where the layouts get genuinely twisty. Get a feel for the maze's shape first, figure out where the enemies patrol, and only loop back for coins once you know a safe route exists. SPACE is your best friend around red enemies, but jumping blind off a ledge is a great way to lose a life for nothing, so only use it when you can see solid ground on the other side. Slow, deliberate movement beats frantic button-mashing almost every time here, since the ball's momentum makes sharp last-second corrections risky. If a section feels impossible, back off and approach from a different angle rather than repeating the same failed line over and over.
